Like I said in class, the top is my favorite. It shows off all the ornamentation in the letters and says to me, "BEER, BRATWURST". Which, let's face it, is Germany. For some reason, the second one has lost that robust fun loving quality. I have to look closely to make sure there is actually a picture in the middle. It doesn't not catch me eye at all. Stick with your first one. The instinct is there.
I like the style of the type faces on the bottom, I like the old gothic style. One thing that really sticks out to me is that all the type at the bottom is gold, so my eyes get drawn to that first. It also makes it slightly bottom heavy for that reason, you can possibly try to put those pictures going straight down the middle, or making it diagonal so its not being drawn to one side.
