Century Gothic is a Yuppie. He is urban but professional, young but classic. CG is masculine, but knows how to dress himself. He likes clean-cut button-ups and appreciates fine fabrics. Jeans are as casual as he gets; Century Gothic wouldn’t be caught dead wearing sweatpants in public.
Century Gothic orders a gin and tonic with a nod to the bar tender, who knows exactly what he drinks. Over the last two years, CG and the bar tender have become well acquainted. After long days working at the architecture firm, Century likes to stop in for a familiar drink and a welcoming face.
CG doesn’t own a car because he is environmentally conscious and frankly, he prefers his bike. Though he doesn’t get many long rides in, he would some day like to do a triathlon; he’s ambitious like that. Century Gothic is a life long fan of Paul Simon. He really only listens to music pre-1990, but has a soft spot for Kanye West and Common. There’s no one special in Century Gothic’s life at the moment; the only major character is his yellow lab, Roger.
In some ways, the name Prestige Elite is fitting, but it also makes him seem very pretentious. A recent NYU graduate, he spends his days interning at a law firm; it’s what his parents want him to do but he really just wants to be a writer. He is very reserved about his dream and doesn’t reveal it to most people, but you can tell in the swoop of his capital B’s and the extra tail on his stems that he needs to break the mold. Forget that his father could get him a job anywhere; Prestige just wants to spend his days with a typewriter and cup of coffee.
Prestige started dating a girl sophomore of college and they’ve been together ever since. Things started going sour when she found his poetry notebook. Since, he’s been worried she’s just in it for the Elite family name. She just doesn’t get him.
Prestige Elite listens to mostly underground bands. He thinks some mainstream stuff is good, but lives on the thrill of discovering new, great artists. Though he’s in a suit all day, Prestige is most comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt from his college Ultimate Frisbee team. He reminisces often about those days as a naive student and wonders if he destined to be a square for the rest of his life.
This was epic, wish I'd thought to be so creative.
